Tomas is a serial entrepreneur who founded three ventures over the past six years. Before HotelQuickly he worked as Co-founder and Managing Partner of FL Ventures Ltd., a specialist in advising startups on how to expand successfully across Europe. As Project Manager for multinational consultancies, Tomas focused on market entry strategies and matchmaking in Central and Eastern Europe. Tomas was also member of the Sub-committee for Entrepreneurship of the National Economic Council of the Czech Government. He earned his CEMS MIM degree from the Rotterdam School of Management and the University of Economics in Prague.
Christian is a passionate serial entrepreneur who has launched and scaled a number of high-growth tech startups across the world. He is Partner at Swiss Founders Fund, a seed and early-stage investment fund based in St. Gallen, Switzerland. Before launching HotelQuickly, Christian scaled Foodpanda for Rocket Internet and was working as an In-house Consultant at Credit Suisse’s Corporate Development in Zurich. He graduated cum laude, holding a master’s degree in Banking & Finance from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and a CEMS master’s degree in International Management from the University of St. Gallen and Rotterdam School of Management (RSM). He also served in the Swiss army, advancing over the years to Captain (OF-2) at the Swiss Military Intelligence. Christian was nominated Entrepreneur of the Year by the University of St.Gallen in 2013 and awarded CEMS Alumni of the Year in 2015.
Michal moved from his hometown in Slovakia to Prague to study Economics and Computer Science. While in university, he worked as an IT consultant and founded BookFan, a concept which attracts more than 200,000 monthly users to date. BookFan won a number of national startup competitions including Vodafone’s ‘Idea of the Year’ 2011. Besides supporting startups in getting off the ground and IT companies in improving their development cycles, Michal also shared his experience as a host lecturer at local universities. Michal is a passionate Toastmaster, and co-founded and chaired the Toastmaster business club in Prague. He loves building projects from scratch and connecting the best technologies available.
Mario was working in the direct private equity investment team at Partners Group, one of the leading global private equity houses, prior to joining HotelQuickly. Before that he held a role in the investment banking department at Bank Vontobel, focused on mergers and acquisitions. Mario graduated from the University of St.Gallen with a M.A. in Banking & Finance and participated in several exchange programs, most notably the MBA program of Tuck School of Business in the US. During his studies he interned with Credit Suisse’s business control team and with the company’s debt capital markets teams in Switzerland and Mexico.
Before joining HotelQuickly as its Chief Sales Officer, Raphael worked for Rocket Internet as Managing Director of Foodpanda Vietnam and DropGifts Singapore. As an entrepreneur, he previously founded the online graphic design outsourcing company Corporate Edesign, as well as CGHK Export, a China-focused trading company. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor’s in Commerce, after exchange stints with both the University of Hong Kong and Shanghai Jiaotong University. Raphael was born and raised in Paris, but has lived in Toronto, Shanghai, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City and Hong Kong. He speaks six languages including Hebrew, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
